To ensure you succeed you’ll join a supportive team, have opportunities for personal development and importantly the autonomy needed to get the job done. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support opportunities. This position involves extensive travelling (>50%) as you will be providing hands-on assistance at customer sites. This role is based at Moore Bank, Australia.


Your Responsibilities

  • Performing service tasks like installation and commissioning of equipment, identifying technical problems, making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, routine maintenance, extensions, replacements etc.).
  • Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, appreciating their needs and providing specialist assistance and solutions.
  • Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
  • Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and method.

Your background
  • Minimum 4 years industry experience. Switchgear and protection relay experience (250vlts to 33kv)
  • Must have Australian Electrical License, however applicants who possess strong experience with protection relays will be considered.
  • Tertiary qualification in technical field preferred.
  • Sound knowledge in electrical testing fundamentals
  • Strong customer-centric approach and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
  • Strong communication skills.
