JOB DESCRIPTION

THE COMPANY:
Our client is an award-winning residential builder with a reputation for constructing quality customised homes across Melbourne's Western / Northern Growth Corridors. With an emphasis on quality over quantity for handover delivery/finishes and strong internal culture, they pride themselves on creating a dynamic, enjoyable, and healthy working environment.

Currently, they are looking to add more capability to their Construction team and would like to engage personnel with a background of experience in senior site management or construction management to be a part of a team long-term. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Overseeing a team of site managers across new home builds in the outer west and north
  • Conducting weekly/fortnightly meetings to engage your team and grow capability
  • Ensuring all jobs under construction are being managed effectively
  • Overseeing a team of Site Managers across the Western Suburbs
  • Work closely with the General Manager of Operations to drive outcomes
  • Promote & maintain safe work protocols at all times – safety inspections as required 
  • Develop and maintain service provided by trades and suppliers.
  • Being the first point of contact for customer escalation issues
  • Applying sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Completing quality assurance inspections

THE MUST-HAVES:

  • 3+ years experience in working in construction for a local builder in a similar role or senior site management role 
  • Relevant construction tertiary education
  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Ability to learn new systems and software
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Understand how to train and motivate staff and lead the team to achieve desired outcomes
