As a leader in renewables across the globe, Vestas continues to grow and has an exciting opportunity for an qualified Construction Quality Lead to join the Quality team. As part of the team, you will be involved in planning and supporting the quality management and assurance activities in Construction to achieve the satisfaction of our customers, the business, and stakeholders, ensuring that quality requirements are fulfilled through the value chain applying the respective Standards, Quality tool, Business processes, Instructions and Project Quality Plans (PQP).

Key Responsibilities

  • To strengthen the quality assurance across the value chain on Construction activities in SEUT through
  • Develop and implement procedures for quality management in compliance with Vestas requirements
  • Implement and monitor construction quality management process and procedures for all WTG related works
  • Incoming inspection for WTG Equipment’s and mechanical walk down audits post WTG installation
  • Compiling and updating of portfolio "most common quality" issue register
  • Support for preparation of risk assessment for new projects
  • Support the creation of NCR's for product and process issues and monitor closely till closure
  • Provide guidance on quality issues to site team and site managers or other operational staff, including training to site team and other employees in quality practices and procedures
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving programs with quality tool
  • NCR material follow up with stakeholders and vendors
  • NCC cost recovery follow-up with vendor
  • Lesson learnt for new project based on completion projects
  • Identification continuous improvements projects during Process and implementation to improve Quality, Cost, Delivery & Safety.
  • Construction CIM case tracking, monitoring and completion follow up in collaboration with CIM department
  • Weekly/monthly reporting on portfolio quality status
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Competencies
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar role
  • MS office, SAP, 7QC Tool
  • Good problem solving skills and hands on approach
  • Customer focused, motivated and result-oriented
  • Knowledge in WTG Components and Function, WTG Assembly Process, Tools, etc
  • Knowledge in Electrical Components and Function
Additional Information
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia
  • This role will involve approximately 70% travel to sites including Australia New Zealand
