About the role

As a result of rapid growth and award of new contracts, we are seeking to take on proactive and hands on Crane / Electrical Technician to join our team.

The Mechanical Crane Technician will be responsible for performing installations, inspections, maintenance, repairs, modifications, and testing/commissioning of cranes located on Client facilities or on Company facilities. Whilst conducting this work the technician will adhere to the procedures and guidelines put in place by the Company, the Client, the crane manufacturer & industry best practice.

This role will require you to work onshore and offshore and will suit applicants who have flexibility with working patterns and hours.

Skills, qualifications, and experience

To be a successful candidate for this position ideally you will have:

  • Trade qualified mechanical (preferred)
  • MSIC (mandatory)
  • OPITO TBOSIET (mandatory)
  • Advanced Rigger high risk licence (preferred)
  • Experience maintaining overhead and pedestal cranes (mobile & tower crane prior experience also considered)
  • Experience with Hydraulics, Diesel Engines, Gearboxes & Rope Systems
  • Ability to read and execute work packs
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Building meaningful relationships with clients personnel
