Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, 2nd, 3rd or 4th stage Apprentice

Full-Time Apprenticeship

Our client, a large engineering company located in Canningvale has an exciting opportunity for candidates looking for a comprehensive work and learning experience. The ideal applicants will have previously been signed up as an apprentice and looking for a new workplace to continue their apprenticeship. Ideally they will have at least completed their first year and progressed into their second year.

You will work as part of a professional team responsible for working on a global manufacturer’s equipment for the Mining Industry. The position is mostly workshop based but could include occasional site work.

The successful candidate must possess the following minimum requirements:

Essential:

  • Must have started an apprenticeship in a heavy vehicle or mobile plant qualification
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality workmanship
  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
  • Able to get on with others and be a team-player
  • Strong attitude towards safety
  • Commitment to attendance
  • Committed to a program of on the job learning and formal training
  • Able to work extended hours including on weekends and shift work
  • Australian citizen, Permanent Resident or relevant right to work visa
  • Require C class Driver’s Licence (manual)

Highly Desirable:

  • Previous exposure or a keen interest in the Mining / Mobile Plant Industry

Candidates must be available throughout the recruitment process which will include:

  • Complete all pre-screening questions
  • Submit a resume and cover letter addressing the essential criteria
  • Undertake an aptitude test
  • Two rounds of interviews
  • Must pass a pre-employment screening which includes drug & alcohol testing
