JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE
Electrician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities and will support the O&M Plant Manager in site related tasks.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
General
- To Perform plant maintenance as per the O&M Plan and daily tasks issued to you by O&M Plant Manager.
- Ensure plant troubleshooting by critically evaluating problems which may arise in the photovoltaic system, undertake a technical investigation, if required, provide and implement a technically sound solution to the problem(s).
- To carry out O&M electrical tasks such as electrical inspections, preventative maintenance, electrical checks, and thermo graphic inspections.
- To carry out O&M monitoring tasks such as inspections and maintenance of weather station and communication equipment.
- To complete daily reports as required by the O&M Plant Manager.
- Ensure sites are operating at full power and with the efficiency required. Site conditioning and Alarm response as needed.
- Ensure Communication to the O&M Plant Manager problems encountered during corrective and Preventive maintenance.
- Support SCADA Operator in plant performance analysis and providing the necessary information to draft weekly and monthly reports.
Safety
- Ensure adherence of team to safety standards such as Occupational Health and Safety Act and Safety regulations.
- Implement Log out and Tag out procedures and issue permits in cooperation with the health and safety officer.
- Monitor and review safety trends to establish methodologies to maintain a positive downward
- Trend in safety-related incidents to achieve or better established safety targets
REQUIREMENTS - SKILLS
Requirements:
- Electrical Licence Grade A
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology-Electrician
- Certified to operate and maintain MV and HV Equipments
- Previous experience in O&M Industrial areas.
- Basic understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA)
- Driver licence
