Largest crane hire company in Australia opening of its Kalgoorlie-Boulder depot - 15 new jobs

The “largest crane hire company” in Australia, Freo Group, has created 15 new jobs with the opening of its Kalgoorlie-Boulder depot this year.

With 45 years experience in the mining and resources sector, chief executive Toni Canci said Kalgoorlie-Boulder was a logical place for the company to expand.

“Mining is at the heart of what we do, which is why it makes sense for Australia’s largest crane hire company to be based in one of Australia’s most important mining centres,” he said.

“This is a long-term commitment for us and reflects the fact that there is considerable opportunity for us in the Goldfields.

“Moving into any new market can be challenging but it’s important we demonstrate our commitment to the community as a whole.

“Our target is for a local workforce where all employees live and work in the city, where their children go to school and where they’re a part of the community.”

Depot manager Matt Wyatt and his family will be relocating to Kalgoorlie-Boulder to grow the business.

“Kalgoorlie has been great. Everyone I’ve spoken to including all of our clients are really helpful and engaging so it has been really good,” he said.

The depot is on Great Eastern Highway.
