About the RoleYou will be leading a team of experienced professional staff that plans for the delivery of the construction of infrastructure projects across North Eastern Victoria. This includes all aspects of project management and pre-construction to comply with the procurement requirements of VicRoads. These works traditionally include overtaking lanes, roundabouts and shoulder sealing projects. This is an on-going full time opportunity. Day to Day DutiesYou will be accountable and responsible for the pre-construction activities of multiple projects and the following tasks:
• Building a culture of achievement and accountability• Leading a team of professional staff in the delivery of construction activities• Contract administration• Preconstruction planning, including design, environmental and cultural heritage activities• Liaison with contractors and with internal and external key stakeholders• Project management To be successful in this role you will possess:The ideal candidate will have the abilities to manage the technical, financial and program requirements to successfully implement road construction projects. The ideal candidate will also contribute to creating a focussed and committed team environment that strives to achieve positive outcomes for the community. The successful applicant will ideally have appropriate tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Project Management or extensive experience in construction program delivery in a complex environment.
